The powers that be decide she has the right face for a task force dealing with crime in Cabramatta but it is not the return to duty she was looking for. When a schoolboy is murdered in Freedom Plaza on a hot afternoon the investigation brings her face-to-face with the drugs and violence that are poisoning the suburb and with the struggles and the stories of Vietnamese refugees who live there.
